Monarch Garden Society
If you’ve tried to learn to garden by following gardeners on Instagram who don’t even live in your area, and you’ve been getting your gardening education from 20 second sound bites on TikTok, you’ve probably been pretty frustrated. What if there’s a better way? What if you could have your very own mentor who has been gardening for over 25 years, and a community filled with expert gardeners, walk you through every component of growing successfully in Houston’s climate? Enter Monarch Garden Society! $25 a month.
What’s Included in Monarch Garden Society
MONTHLY: you’ll receive a big-picture to-do list for the garden, a live zoom meeting for new gardeners where I teach you through an organized curriculum so you can go from being confused to confident, and a live zoom meeting for experienced gardeners where I either teach you something more advanced or we learn from another expert. Join each course live or watch at your convenience in our replay library. WEEKLY: you’ll receive a video telling you exactly what I’m doing in my garden for the week and what we have planned for our clients’ gardens, plus reminders for when to plant everything we plant in raised bed gardens, when to remove things, and when to stop planting. DAILY: you’ll have an opportunity to post any and every gardening question you have and get a response from our team (and probably others in our community) within 24 hours!
About the Host
Hi! I’m Heather, and I want everyone to experience the joy a garden brings to a home! I’ve been gardening for 27 years. I was that crazy 18 year-old girl who moved giant pots of tomatoes to my college duplex at Texas A&M University. For about 15 years, I made every mistake a person could make in gardening, but I eventually learned to grow successfully year-round in Houston. The knowledge I bring to the membership is from my own journey as a gardener as well as the data we gather from taking care of 50+ gardens in Houston. I’m a former nurse who later went to Nurse Practitioner school. My love for science and evidence based medicine translates into the way I approach gardening. While failure can be a great teacher in life, it’s not free. I wasted an insane amount of money and valuable time as a new gardener. You don’t have to!
